Introduction to Handguns
This Intro to Handguns course is specifically designed for those who are brand new to firearms. The majority of instruction is provided in a classroom session with laser trainers, so it’s perfect for those who may have reservations. Students will have the opportunity to practice learned skills with laser trainers training pistols before moving to the indoor shooting range stimulator, using green gas recoil pistols for a feel of actual shooting before you ever fire real bullets.
This course is perfect for those who: have fears or reservations about firearms, are preparing to take a more advanced course, live with someone who owns a firearm, are considering the purchase of a handgun, want to ensure their children are safe in a home with a gun, or are seeking an NC Concealed Carry Permit without prior formal firearms training. Class cost $55 and is a 3-hour course. Uon completion of this course, students will receive a training certificate. We can come to your facility if you have at least 5 participants or join one of our regular classes.

Private Training
Private Training is for those who want to increase their proficiency in specific areas. It is done on our state-of-the-art simulator. Whether you have issues with trigger control, grip, or just want some defensive training, we got you covered.
This course is perfect for those who: are brand new to firearms and want individualized instruction, do not want to train in a group setting, or just want specific one on one time to hone your skills. Training cost $150 per person (up to two) and is for 2-hours. Uon completion of this course, students will receive a training certificate.

Use of force simulation course
Have you ever wondered how you would react or what you would do in a critical incident? This course is for you! This course is Safe Haven Defense’s “Shoot, Don’t Shoot” course that many are familiar with, and few get to train on.
A NEW course utilizing simulator technology using scenarios ranging from home invasions, robberies, burglaries, assaults, to active shooter incidents. This course is designed as a build-upon of our Intro to Handguns course, our Legal Update Seminar, and our Aftermath of a Self Defense Incident although they are not a prerequisite.
You will be placed in these scenarios and required to make split second, life or death, decisions under rapidly evolving circumstances. This course is meant to test your skills in real-world scenarios that a concealed carry or law enforcement officer (depending on the student) could make. After each scenario, a full after-action debriefing will occur with USCCA-Certified Instructor/Retired Law Enforcement Officer. Each scenario will be broken down based on North Carolina Statutes, US Supreme Court & other pertinent case law, and US Codes to name a few.
This 3 (three) hour block of instruction cost $150 and is limited to 5 students and will include a review of laws pertaining to self-defense of yourself or others, and the opportunity to feel fully immersed in high-risk scenarios where seconds count and a Certificate of Completion.

Use of FORCE UPDATE and review
This course is a refresher course for those who carry concealed, open carry, or have firearms in the home or vehicle. We will review the general use of force laws, updates to laws and case law regarding use of deadly physical force. We will review the conditions that need to be present to use ANY level of force, and when it’s justified to protect yourself, your family, and your home or vehicle.
This course is NOT for those that have never taken any type of Legal Use of Force course such as what is included in Concealed Carry Courses and such. This is simply a refresher and to point out new issues or laws regarding the use of force.
Course is FREE and is 1 1/2 hours and can be done at your facility, our facility or as a webinar. Students will receive a course attendance certificate.

Church security
USCCA Church Safety: Protecting Your Congregation teaches practical ways to safeguard your house of worship: recognize pre-attack indicators, build or refine an emergency operations plan, and deliver immediate trauma care. It covers worship-specific considerations, helps you assess current security, and includes hands-on drills to reinforce each lesson.
This course is FREE and will be done at your place of worship, with your safety or security team. Church staff are always welcome to attend as well. Safe Haven Defense will help guide your team in the right direction to ensure your church is ready for any incident. Further training and recommendations specific to your facilities can be discussed upon completion of this initial course.
